Meet Seffrah Smitheth, a proud mother of three sons with a love for the bold, unforgettable pepper sauces of her home country. Inspired by their unique taste, she decided to grow her own peppers and create homemade sauces that bring those familiar Caribbean flavors to the table.
Her growing season starts in early spring and continues into early fall. From starting seeds and preparing nutrient-rich soil to giving each plant sunlight, regular water, and protection from pests, Seffrah puts patience and care into every stage. As the peppers mature, she watches for the right time to harvest them.
Those homegrown peppers become the heart of her three sauces: Traditional Caribbean Ghost Pepper, Traditional Caribbean Mango Habanero Pepper, and Traditional Ghost/Mango Pepper.
Alongside her hot sauces, Seffrah makes S&S All Meat Seasoning, a blended herb paste used to marinate meat before cooking. For Seffrah, it's more than hot sauce. It's a taste of home, a celebration of Caribbean roots, and something she is proud to share with others.
Early spring to early fall: planting, tending, harvesting, and making homemade sauce.
Start seeds, prepare healthy soil, and give young plants warmth and light.
Water consistently, watch for pests, and nurture plants throughout the growing season.
Pick mature peppers and turn the harvest into Caribbean-inspired homemade sauces.
